President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria recently held discussions with Rwandan President Paul Kagame in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The meeting was disclosed through a post on Tinubu’s official X account on Monday.

During their engagement, Tinubu emphasized Africa’s potential for self-reliance, highlighting the continent's abundant resources, talent, and capacity for development.

He stated, “This evening, on the eve of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, I had meaningful conversations with Rwandan President Paul Kagame. Africa has what it takes to develop itself. We have the resources, the people, and the capacity.

President Tinubu traveled to Abu Dhabi on Saturday to participate in the 2025 edition of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, an event organized at the invitation of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The summit, themed “The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” is scheduled to run from January 12 to 18 in Abu Dhabi. It brings together global leaders to accelerate sustainable development and foster socio-economic advancement.
