In a statement released by the Ministry's Director of Information, Henshaw Ogubike, the minister warned against any attempts to overthrow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's government and emphasized that the administration would not tolerate such actions.
Matawalle emphasized the importance of elected leaders governing the country and stated that the military's role is to protect the constitution, not to seize power.
