Bola Tinubu has given his nod to the selection of Mr. Gbenga Alade as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), replacing Ahmed Kuru, who took up the role in August 2015.
Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, conveyed this announcement in a statement released on Thursday under the title, 'President Tinubu appoints new AMCON management team.'
Furthermore, Tinubu has designated three other individuals as executive directors, subject to confirmation by the Nigerian Senate. These individuals are Aminu Ismail, Adeshola Lamidi, and Lucky Adaghe.
Ngelale emphasized that the President expects the newly appointed officials to demonstrate unwavering dedication, professionalism, and diligence to ensure AMCON's operations become more efficient, transparent, and in alignment with his commitment to purify the nation's financial system.
This move aims to maximize value and bolster investor confidence in the Nigerian economy.
