Super League Coach Threats

Talking-Tough Peseiro Threatens to Expel Super Eagles Stars

Coach Jose Peseiro is taking a strict approach as the Super Eagles aim for their fourth AFCON title, imposing stringent team rules and warning players of expulsion for any infractions.

The Super Eagles players are expected to adhere to punctuality for team meetings, avoid taking phone calls during meetings, follow team curfews with a bedtime of 11pm, and refrain from having female guests.

To ensure compliance, the team has been secluded on the fourth floor of the Pullman Hotel in Abidjan, under the vigilant watch of the team’s chief security officer.

“Peseiro is enforcing strict discipline among the players. He’s made it clear that rule violations will not be tolerated as the team pursues the AFCON title,” a source shared with SCORENigeria.

Peseiro is reportedly one victory away from meeting the Nigeria Football Federation's (NFF) expectations, which could secure him a new contract, hence his no-nonsense attitude.

The Super Eagles are set to face Angola in the quarterfinals of the 2023 AFCON on Friday. In their previous encounters, Nigeria has recorded three wins and five draws against the Palancas Negras, who have been performing beyond expectations in this tournament with their impressive and aggressive style of play.
